Tips to Stop Hair Loss
Hair Loss is a common issue for both men and women. There are many factors which affect the health of your hair. It’s estimated that 95% of hair loss is genetic. On average, we lose 50 to 100 strands which are replaced by new follicles. However, due to certain factors like illness, stress and hormonal imbalance, hair growth is slowed down and thinning occurs.
1. Avoid using harsh Shampoo
Shampoos and hair products contain chemicals, which can increase hair loss. Don’t use harsh shampoos and try to avoid permanent hair dyes and perms. When you visit a salon, remember to have a patch test done 24 hours before any hair treatment.
2. Visit your Doctor
Visit your doctor for a check-up. Hair loss can indicate certain undiagnosed illnesses and vitamin deficiency. With the help of tests, the cause of hair loss can be found whether it is due to thyroid or some vitamin deficiency.
3. Exercise regularly to reduce stress
Stress speed up your hair loss. Exercise can help reduce stress, 30 minutes of aerobic or cardiovascular exercise each day will increase your blood circulation and your ability to deal with stress.
4. A healthy diet for strong and healthy hair
Your scalp should be healthy and free of any fungus/dandruff. Include antioxidants in your diet to protect yourself from free radicals. Take vitamin C and E, which is found in lemon, broccoli, strawberries, spinach almonds.
5. Improve digestion with a healthy diet
Your overall health is all related to the food you eat. Constipation and indigestion can cause hair fall. It is important that you keep a healthy diet and take acidophilus after meals to improve digestion.
6. Eat iron-rich food
Iron deficiency can impact your scalp. Iron tablets or intake of iron-rich food can overcome this deficiency.
7. Apple cider vinegar technique
Remember that it is normal to lose 100 hair strands each day. If your hair is dry and damaged, use Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water for final rinse after every wash.
