Make Your Skin Glow and Smooth
A healthy lifestyle and skin care routine are definitely reflected on your skin. You should keep your skin clean to avoid problems such as pimples and blackheads. Beautiful soft, smooth and glowing skin can’t be obtained by using expensive products or salon treatments, it only requires a little effort and few products.
Follow these simple tips to make your skin glow and smooth:
Cleanse & Exfoliate
Wash your face twice a day with a soap-free cleanser. It is important to remove oil and dirt from your skin. Also, don’t forget to remove makeup before going to bed. If you sleep with makeup on, your skin is more likely to break out and become dull. Most of us are too lazy or sleepy to use a makeup remover before bedtime and then wash our face. For this, face wipe is the easiest way to cleanse your skin. That means you don’t have to use a makeup remover if you use wipes. If washing your face is over-drying the skin, you can use gram flour mixed with water. It is very important to regularly exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells accumulated on the skin.
Steam
Steam will open up your pores and removes impurities deep down the skin, making your face clear and glowing. Blackheads are formed due to clogged pores, steaming helps to soften the pores, making it easier to pop them. It also boosts blood circulation which reproduces healthy skin cells. You can easily steam your face at home. Simply boil a pot of water, add mint leaves, rose petals or lemon for a delicious smell and soothing feel. Remove the pot from heat. Keep a towel on your head and lower your face on the steam. The towel will avoid steam from escaping. Make sure your face is not too close to the water. If it’s too hot, it might cause broken veins. Steaming once a week is enough to keep your pores clean.
Cucumber & Milk Cleanser
Cucumber has a cooling effect on the skin. Its cleansing properties make your skin soft, smooth and help to tighten pores. It also restores natural pH of the skin. There are many ways to use cucumber for skin care. Simply, place cucumber slices on your face to have a refreshing and soothing feel. Use Cucumber juice for tightening your skin. You can apply it with a cotton ball or mix it with milk to make a skin cleansing mask. Milk has natural lipids that provide moisturize to your skin. Mix cucumber juice in milk and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse to get glowing skin.
Honey, Lemon and Olive Oil
Honey is an anti-inflammatory and a great skin cleanser. It fights skin damage and has antioxidants that reduce signs of aging. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and has nutrients that heal skin problems. It lightens the skin, reduces dark spots and gives a glow. The other ingredient of this mask is olive oil which is used by women since ancient times for beautiful hair and skin. It gives your skin a radiant glow and maintains elasticity. Mix equal parts of honey, lemon and olive oil. Use a cotton ball to apply it to your skin. After 20 minutes, rinse with warm water. This can be applied overnight and rinsed in the morning.
Yogurt
Yogurt has been used by Greeks for skin care. It is rich in proteins, lactic acid, and enzymes which soothes and cleanses the skin making it soft and smooth. Combine it with lemon and honey to make a moisturizing and exfoliating mask. You can simply massage your face with a tbsp of yogurt to cleanse. The enzymes in yogurt help to remove dead skin and generate new skin cells. Your skin will feel smooth and glowing.
