Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Review | Combination to Oily Skin / Light

garnier miracle skin perfector light

This is a product that I’ve heard and read a lot of people rave about. I had never tried a BB cream before so when Garnier came out with their BB cream, I decided to give it a try to find out what the hype is all about. If you still don’t know why BB creams are getting popular then here is a post I did a while ago all about it. The best thing about BB creams is that it has the properties of complexion correction while giving coverage to your skin.

I got the Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for combination to oily skin in the shade light.

My thoughts:

First, let’s talk about its packaging. The Garnier BB cream comes in a tube with a nozzle tip and screw cap. Now onto the actual product. It has a thin consistency and smells like an astringent. The smell isn’t as noticeable and goes away when applied. To apply it, I gently squeeze the tube on the back of my hand and blend it on my face. It’s very easy to blend and gives a sheer coverage. This particular formula(combination to oily) isn’t very mattifying or dewy either. It’s just the right amount of matt for my very oily acne prone skin. Also, this didn’t break me out either which is what makes me love this product even more.

When you first apply it on your face, it looks very pale but it gets darker throughout the day. I would recommend this product if you’re looking for an affordable bb cream or substitute for a tinted moisturizer. I think BB creams shouldn’t be compared to a foundation because a BB cream is supposed to help reduce blemishes with continuous usage whereas a foundation has the sole purpose of coverage. Although it doesn’t give much coverage it does cover up pores, acne redness and the coverage is buildable. Since it has a runny consistency, it doesn’t feel heavy or cakey.

This is my everyday favorite go-to product which does the job of keeping my face oil/shine free for a good few hours along setting it with powder. I will definitely repurchase this product in the future. I would recommend this if you’re looking for an everyday easy to use product. Have you tried this product?
