Baking soda is not just a baking staple but it has many used outside the kitchen as well. From clear skin to whiter teeth, baking soda is a one-step solution to most beauty problems.
Here are some effective and unusual beauty uses of baking soda:
Turn your usual face wash into a scrub. Mix a small amount of baking soda in your everyday face wash.
Pore cleanser and minimizer
Baking soda helps clear pores and remove blackheads. Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply on your T-zone (nose and forehead) and chin area. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and rinse with warm water.
Have Greasy hair and no time to wash it? Just sprinkle a teaspoon of baking soda on your hair roots and brush your hair.
Add volume to hair
Without buying a new volumizing shampoo, turn your normal shampoo into a volumizing one. Add half a teaspoon of baking soda in your daily required amount of shampoo.
Acne clearing mask
Honey and baking soda, both have anti-inflammatory properties which help fight acne. Add half a teaspoon of baking soda in a tablespoon of honey and mix well. Let it sit on your face for 15 minutes and rinse.
Take out your required amount of toothpaste on your brush and add a pinch of baking soda on top.
Just like whitening teeth, baking soda help whiten dull and yellow nails. Mix hydrogen peroxide and a little amount of baking soda and rub on your nails.
